OCTOBER missions

Spotlight

BJ and Rachel serve with European Christian Mission International.  They have been in Spain since 2009.  Since 2020, they have lived in the town of Meco (pop. 16,000), and since 2024 have been helping plant there.  Rachel serves as the Member Care Coordinator for the ECM Spain field and teaches part time at Evangelical Christian Academy.  Besides helping in the church plant, BJ serves on the executive leadership team of ECM Spain and uses Wild at Heart's material and approach to engage and strengthen men both locally and across Spain.  BJ enjoys playing the guitar, baseball, reading running, hiking, and good movies.  Rachel plays the piano, cajon, and djembe and enjoys reading, deep friendships, and watching movies.  Miriam loves music, (especially Forrest Frank), lettering, crocheting, friends, and Jesus.  Laura loves ballet, piano, classic rock, Star Wars and hanging out with friends.  If you are on Facebook, send BJ a friend request to see updates on their ministry.  You can also update prayer requests or ask to be on their Newsletter list.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  • For wild at Heart in Spain this fall as we launch the Wild at Heart Experience in Spanish, a 6 session video experience for men, that's available for men and churches in Spain and throughout the Spanish speaking world.  Also pray for discernment as we seek Jesus' guidance on when and where our next retreat will be.
  • We will have our ECM Spain annual retreat with 60 missionaries and families attending from October 23-26.
  • Pray for Miriam (10th grade) and Laura (8th grade) that they will be God's agents of God's agents of God's love and truth.
  • Pray for our local church community as we grow deeper in Jesus and as we find opportunities to reach out in the town of Meco.

THEIR MESSAGE TO YOU:

Romans 8:14-17 "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.  The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children."  We not only understand with our heads that we are children of God but we have also received that sonship and "daughtership" deep in our hearts.  And we love walking with others in the adventure that our Father has for us as his deeply beloved children.

Ministry of the month:

Staff as they lead the congregation.
